Frequently asked questions
What does the Aero Compression System do?
Five air chambers in each boot inflate in sequence from the foot upwards, applying controlled pressure before releasing. This mimics the body's natural circulatory flow, helping move blood and lymphatic fluid, ease swelling, and settle heavy legs after training.
What's the difference between AeroBoots and AeroBoots Pro?
The Pro is fully wireless. The control unit is built into each boot, so there's no base unit and no hoses — everything runs from the LED panel on the boot itself, with up to four hours of battery. The compression system itself is the same.
How long should each session be?
Sessions are adjustable from 10 to 60 minutes. Twenty to thirty minutes suits most people. Keep your first session to 20 minutes at a low pressure setting, then build up as it starts to feel comfortable.
How long does the battery last?
Up to four hours of run time per charge. Higher pressure settings and longer sessions will use it faster. Charge fully before first use.
Can I use them before training?
Yes. A short cycle at low pressure before a session helps get blood moving through the legs. Keep it brief — 10 to 15 minutes is plenty — and save the longer, higher-pressure sessions for afterwards.
How often can I use them?
Daily use is fine for most people. Many use them after every session and again in the evening. Build up gradually rather than starting with long sessions at high pressure.
Is it normal to feel pressure during use?
Yes — you'll feel a firm, rhythmic squeeze as the chambers inflate and release. It should feel snug, never painful. If anything hurts or feels wrong, stop and turn the unit off, then try again at a lower setting.
Is there anyone who shouldn't use them?
Yes. Don't use them if you have a pacemaker or other implanted electronic device, a recent or current DVT, thrombophlebitis, heart disease, unstable hypertension, or any open wound or infection in the treatment area. Check with your doctor or physio first if you're pregnant, recovering from lower limb surgery, or unsure whether compression therapy suits you. Not suitable for anyone under 18.
Are they only for serious athletes?
No. 18 pressure levels means you can run them as gently or as firmly as you like. They're used by professional teams, but just as much by runners, gym-goers, and anyone who spends long days on their feet.
How do I clean and store them?
Wipe the sleeves with antibacterial wipes and the control unit with a slightly damp cloth. Never submerge any part of them or wash the sleeves with water. Let them air dry fully, then fold them into the carry case and store somewhere cool and dry.
